Job summary

ATOS Information Technology Inc. is seeking a Mainframe Developer to design, test, maintain, and support business-critical mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and IMS DB/DC.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams, resolve production issues, perform testing, and ensure reliable operations across on-premises environments. The role requires 4–5 years of hands-on mainframe experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in mainframe development, testing, or application support.
• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL and IMS DB/DC.
• Good knowledge of SQL queries and database validation activities.
• Strong experience in test data identification, data mining, and database validation.
• Experience in production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Knowledge of mainframe tools and environments.
• Ability to create and execute test scenarios, test cases, and supporting test documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and IMS DB/DC.
• Provide Level 2 application and production support for business-critical mainframe systems.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and effective test cases.
• Design, review, and execute test scenarios and test cases to validate application changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, batch processing, database, and production issues.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Support test data identification, data mining, and validation using database queries.
• Coordinate with onsite, offshore, operations, and business teams to meet delivery timelines, support targets, and ensure customer satisfaction.
