Job summary

Pronet Gaming is seeking a Senior System Administrator to manage and optimize our infrastructure. You will install, monitor, and tune Linux-based systems and network structures, automate tasks, and ensure system security and availability.

The role requires hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, NGINX, and various monitoring tools, plus scripting skills in Shell or Python. Flexible hours and on-call rotation are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience with Linux-based operating systems.
• Recent experience with web-based technologies (Java-based) is required.
• Experience with VMware vSphere installation, management, tuning and performance monitoring.
• Strong: NGINX configuration, performance monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience in system and network design, scripting (Shell or Python) and documentation.
• Good knowledge of monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues across OS and network.
• Familiarity with IPsec tunnel setups on Linux.
• Proven experience with Java-based runtime parameter tuning and monitoring.
• Experience using Nagios, Zabbix, or PRTG for infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience in building backup methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining and monitoring operating systems.
• Installing, maintaining and monitoring network structures.
• Finding and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting system integrity and performance.
• Altering system and network structures to meet evolving needs.
• Creating autonomous system backups.
• Setting up system monitoring environments and maintaining system availability.
• Regularly monitoring and updating system security protocols.
• Monthly on-call system monitoring during out-of-office hours and weekends
