Job summary

TP ICAP Group is seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator/Engineer to support and manage the Linux estate across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. The role emphasizes reliability, performance, ITIL-aligned processes, and collaboration with project teams in a financial services context.

The ideal candidate will have strong Linux expertise, virtualization, AWS experience, and scripting skills, with a focus on security and documentation.

Qualifications

• Expert understanding of Linux-based operating systems, especially Redhat and SUSE MLM.
• Knowledge of Linux server and storage architecture within a financial services environment.
• Extensive experience supporting Unix/Linux server infrastructure and IT core operations.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts.
• Experience managing AWS server workloads.
• Bash scripting and/or Ansible familiarity.
• Security-focused to harden servers’ OS.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administration of Unix Server Infrastructure (OS and hardware).
• Handle incident response and remediation with high reliability and performance.
• Work on projects to transition new servers, functionality, and tools into Production.
• Review and improve Linux infrastructure and reference architecture.
• Create and maintain full system documentation, including DR docs.
• Support TP ICAP’s core file transfer system (JScape).
