Role Overview

TP ICAP Group is a leading provider of market infrastructure seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer focused on AWS and DevOps practices to design, implement, and maintain the TP ICAP Cloud Platform estate.

Role Responsibilities

• Engineer and deploy highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Continuously evaluate cloud platform operations and provide input to improve cloud maturity.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, security, and resilience.
• Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure system resilience.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Stay current with the latest AWS services, DevOps tools, and industry best practices.

Experience / Competences

• 2+ years’ experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on AWS.
• Strong understanding of network architecture and network security best practices in AWS.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Windows Server, Amazon Linux, RHEL, and Ubuntu operating systems.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services: EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, CloudWatch, S3, EBS, EKS, AWS Backup, Systems Manager, and AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery Service.
• Experience in designing and implementing resilient systems, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
• Knowledge of Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (e.g., wiz.io, Prisma Cloud).
