SGV & Co. in Makati (Philippines) seeks a General Counsel’s Office lawyer with about 1 year of experience in contract and corporate law, and who is licensed to practice law in the Philippines.

You will draft and review contracts, advise on compliance, and support risk mitigation across the organization. The role involves conducting legal research, preparing opinions, and collaborating with business units on governance and regulatory matters.

Formación

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) required.
• Approximately one year of experience in contract law, corporate law, compliance, or a related legal field.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents, including commercial agreements and NDAs.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, advisories, memoranda, and other legal documentation.
• Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and data privacy requirements.
• Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal, regulatory, and compliance risks.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, investigations, and regulatory reporting activities.
• Collaborate with business units and other stakeholders on legal, compliance, governance, and risk management matters.
