Job summary

SGV, the Philippines’ largest professional services firm and EY member, seeks a junior lawyer to join the General Counsel's Office in Makati. You will draft and negotiate contracts, conduct legal research, and support compliance and regulatory initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor required.
• Approximately one year of experience in contract law, corporate law, compliance, or related field.
• Licensed Attorney-at-Law and member in good standing of the Philippine Bar.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents, including commercial agreements and NDAs.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, advisories, memoranda, and other legal documentation.
• Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and data privacy requirements.
• Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal, regulatory, and compliance risks.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, investigations, and regulatory reporting activities.
• Collaborate with business units and other stakeholders on legal, compliance, governance, and risk management matters.
