Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own and operate scalable Kubernetes-based infrastructure from Spain, with 100% remote EU availability. You will lead production clusters, implement GitOps, and build reliable platforms across multi-site environments.

Qualifications

Expert-level Kubernetes in production, with cluster lifecycle, networking, storage and security.
Strong network engineering and multi-site connectivity experience.
Advanced Linux administration on Debian/Ubuntu.
Solid automation & GitOps with Ansible, Bash or Python.
Observability and incident response across cloud/on-prem environments.
Ability to design scalable, reliable infrastructure and define SLOs/SLIs.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain Debian/Ubuntu infrastructure for reliability and security.
Deploy and scale production Kubernetes clusters across bare-metal, virtualized, and on-premise environments; manage upgrades and node pools.
Design complex networking architectures (VLANs, L2/L3, VPNs, multi-site).
Build automated workflows with Ansible, Bash, Python, Git, and GitOps (PXE, Preseed, cloud-init).
Develop observability platforms using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, Graylog for actionable insights.
Lead incident response, reduce recurring failures, improve availability and latency.
Define SLOs/SLIs across infrastructure and services; establish on-call practices across time zones.
Create SOPs and repeatable operational processes; coordinate data-center tasks.
Manage virtualization tech (OpenStack, Proxmox, VMware) and plan capacity for growth.
Collaborate with development teams to improve software/infrastructure quality.
