Job summary

Coins.Ph in the Philippines is seeking a Java Trading Engineer to build and optimize core trading systems with millisecond latency targets. You will own modules like order reception, matching, and market data, while ensuring high availability under peak traffic and tight DR/monitoring practices.

You will collaborate with the quant team to support API interfaces for high-frequency trading, with a focus on scalability and reliability in a regulated crypto environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related majors.
• 3-5 years of Java development experience and at least 1 year of trading system development experience.
• Proficiency in Java fundamentals, in-depth understanding of concurrent programming, JVM principles and tuning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core modules of the trading system based on the Java technology stack, including order reception, matching engine, fund settlement, market data distribution.
• Optimize system performance, resolve latency issues in high-concurrency scenarios, ensuring millisecond-level order processing response time.
• Design distributed trading architectures to ensure high availability under peak traffic (e.g., 10,000-level orders per second).
• Implement trading rules such as spot T+0 trading, futures margin management, and margin call mechanisms.
• Collaborate with the quantitative trading team to support API interface development for high-frequency trading needs.
• Participate in system monitoring and troubleshooting, formulate disaster recovery plans, and reduce production risks.
