Job summary

Apex Systems is a leading Data and Digital Transformation professional services organization focused on providing solutions with real business value. We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, high-performance applications.

You will own the stack from backend services to UI and work with engineering teams to deliver systems handling high data volumes with reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficient in React and TypeScript.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL or similar).
• Experience with Kafka or event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Maven.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and engineering best practices.
• English proficiency level C1 or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Vite.
• Contribute across the full application stack, including database interactions and UI components.
• Design and implement scalable systems capable of handling high-throughput data and large transaction volumes.
• Integrate Kafka for event-driven architecture and real-time data processing workflows.
• Ensure applications are observable, measurable, and optimized for performance.
• Develop and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and follow best practices using Maven and Git.
• Build and maintain reliable, production-grade systems.
• Practice Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Pair Programming as part of daily development.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and external partners.
• Integrate with external systems and partners via REST APIs.
• Implement business logic to support complex, high-volume operational workflows.
• Ensure system reliability, data accuracy, and SLA adherence.
• Lead technical initiatives within the team and contribute to broader engineering efforts.
• Promote best practices, code quality, and shared ownership across the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide constructive feedback.
