Duties/Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design scalable software systems and applications.
• Design & develop applications/tools with high-quality, reusable code on GCP using Python, Go, Terraform leveraging Claude AI
• Contribute to the design and optimization of microservices and cloud-based system architectures.
• Evaluate existing frameworks and modernize legacy systems to align with scalable, cloud-based solutions.
• Prototype and implement new features to enhance our data platform.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines for application deployment, ensuring reliable and repeatable delivery
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve reliability and performance issues, contributing to incident response as needed
• Contribute to reducing operational toil through automation, self-service tooling, and process improvements
• Maintain application/product documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
• Stay current with GCP services and emerging cloud-native technologies and practices
• Support cost optimization efforts by monitoring costs and recommending right-sizing and efficiency improvements
• Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure strong engineering principles and maintainable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry protocols while adhering to the firm's policies.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Proficiency in software development using modern programming languages like Python, Java, Go, or similar tools.
• Experience in cloud ecosystems , particularly Google Cloud Platform services like Big Query , Cloud SQL , Kafka, GLE clusters, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions.
• S Trong understanding of microservices architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven expertise in cloud application development and familiarity with distributed systems or data-intensive platforms.
• P roblem-solving mindset , with the ability to think critically through challenging engineering scenarios.
• P assion for learning new technologies , frameworks, and tools to contribute to dynamic software solutions.
• Experience in software design patterns, datastore design and application optimization for scale.
• Solid understanding of DevOps and SRE principles including CI/CD, GitOps, and deployment strategies
