Job summary

Q2 HR Solutions is seeking a senior Java developer to join its technology team in a fast-paced environment. You will design and build RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring security and scalability across enterprise applications.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, and developers, optimize performance, and participate in CI/CD implementations. Strong Java 11+ and hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong Java 11+ and Spring Boot proficiency.
• Solid API development, RESTful services, and microservices experience.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ and data patterns.
• Knowledge of design patterns (SOLID) and DDD is desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build secure, high-performing, and highly available enterprise-grade applications.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA engineers, and developers to define and implement technical solutions.
• Optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure robust logging and error handling mechanisms.
• Integrate internal and third-party services using modern API standards and event-driven architectures.
• Develop clean, maintainable, reusable, and testable code following software engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring of junior developers.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments and testing.
• Ensure adherence to security standards, coding standards, and data protection regulations.
• Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
