Job summary

SYSGEN RPO is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and services. The role covers backend services, APIs, authentication systems, and modern web apps, with a strong focus on Java-based enterprise systems and secure identity integrations.

You will contribute to full-stack development, collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, and mentor junior engineers while delivering robust, scalable solutions with AI-enabled capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5–8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Java (8+) and Spring / Spring Boot.
• RESTful web services.
• Node.js.
• React (or comparable modern frontend framework).
• Strong experience with relational databases: MSSQL, PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience integrating OKTA or similar Identity Providers (IdP).
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization technologies: OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring framework.
• Develop and maintain RESTful web services and APIs.
• Build and enhance modern front-end applications using React and Node.js.
• Design, optimize, and maintain relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL).
• Implement secure authentication and authorization solutions, including integration with OKTA and other identity providers.
• Develop secure API integrations using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, and related authentication standards.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical design documentation.
• Integrate AI/ML-based services and APIs into enterprise applications where applicable.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, QA, DevOps, and UX teams.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Ensure high code quality, performance, scalability, and security standards.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
