Job summary

Verve Corporate seeks an experienced Senior Java Engineer to own the core commerce and account management platform powering our US game portfolio. You will lead modernization, security, and performance improvements across a legacy system handling transactions and player identities across PC and major platforms.

You will migrate to modern infrastructure, implement SSO, and manage API integrations with Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo.

Qualifications

Expert Java development and maintenance experience.
Hands-on Spring (Spring Web Flow) and Apache Struts.
Strong MSSQL experience; PostgreSQL knowledge or migration experience preferred.
Experience with template engines like FreeMarker (.ftl).
Kubernetes deployment/orchestration experience; building scalable services.

Responsibilities

Lead modernization of core libraries and frameworks to improve security and performance.
Architect and migrate services from Google Cloud Platform; assist MSSQL to PostgreSQL migration.
Implement new features including SSO integrations with third-party providers.
Maintain and improve API integrations with gaming platforms (Steam, PS, Xbox, Nintendo).
Oversee backend and frontend logic using FreeMarker templates and Spring Web Flow.
