Job summary

gamigo AG is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to own the core commerce and account management platform powering our US game portfolio. You will lead modernization of a legacy app, ensuring security and reliability across PC and console ecosystems.

Key duties include migrating MSSQL to PostgreSQL, moving services to Google Cloud Platform, implementing SSO with third‑party providers, maintaining API integrations with Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo, and working with FreeMarker templates and

Qualifications

Expert Java proficiency with deep experience in Java development.
Hands-on experience with Spring (Spring Web Flow) and Apache Struts.
Strong MSSQL experience; PostgreSQL or migration experience preferred.
Experience with FreeMarker (.ftl) or similar templating.
Containerization with Kubernetes (K8s).
Build automation with Maven and AMQ (ActiveMQ) for messaging.
Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, or SAML for SSO.
Experience with payment gateway integrations or e-commerce platforms.
Migration of legacy monoliths to microservices or modern cloud infrastructures.

Responsibilities

Lead Platform Modernization to update core libraries for security and performance.
Architect and execute MSSQL to PostgreSQL database migration.
Implement new features including SSO integrations with providers.
Maintain API integrations with Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo.
Maintain backend and frontend with FreeMarker templates and Spring Web Flow.
Collaborate remotely with US leadership via Jira and GitLab.
