Job summary

ING Bank Personeel is seeking a Java Engineer in Makati to design, develop, and support modern backend applications powering critical banking services. You will work across the full software delivery lifecycle with Java 17/21, Spring Boot, microservices, PostgreSQL, and Azure DevOps in a global enterprise environment.

You will join the Shared Tech team, collaborating with product owners, architects, DevOps, QA, and other developers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that empower ING to stay

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Java development experience.
• Experience with Java 17 and/or Java 21.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and microservices architecture.
• Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean coding principles.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, including SQL development and performance optimization.
• Experience working with Git-based source control systems.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including repositories, pipelines, and deployment workflows.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps ways of working.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
