Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Lead Principal Engineer (Java and Loyalty Solutions) to lead design and development of Java-based applications and services within our Loyalty competency center, partnering with global teams to deliver scalable airline solutions.

You will provide technical leadership across the SDLC, drive continuous improvement, and mentor engineers while collaborating with customers and stakeholders to shape outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience developing enterprise software applications using Java and Java EE.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring, or Hibernate.
• Experience leading technical delivery within Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience designing and optimizing multithreaded or concurrent applications.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, engineering principles, and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Java-based applications and services through hands-on solution design, implementation and technical guidance.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality solutions from design to operations.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex technical challenges with root-cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through system maintenance, technical debt reduction, and resolving complex issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Continuously explore and adopt new technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Lead technical discussions and solution clarifications with customers and stakeholders.
