Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering (Java and Loyalty Solutions) to lead a dedicated team within a Competency Center serving a major airline customer. You will drive technical strategy, ensure delivery quality, and align customer priorities with roadmaps and architecture.

You will mentor local and remote engineers, own CI/CD, improve engineering practices, and foster a customer-centric, data-driven culture across the team in a global context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience in technical leadership and management roles.
• Strong technical expertise across full software development lifecycle.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to influence strategy and make complex decisions.
• Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead both local and remote team members, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to standards.
• Define team objectives, align with organizational goals, and provide support to team members.
• Evaluate performance and contribute to salary reviews and talent development.
• Champion a quality-focused mindset and own CI/CD activities.
• Develop tooling and monitoring capabilities and create reusable libraries.
• Participate in RFPs and assess migration gaps for legacy systems.
• Drive alignment between customer needs, technical solutions, and delivery execution.
• Represent the team in customer-facing discussions and governance forums.
