Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering (Java and Loyalty Solutions) to lead a talented team delivering loyalty and travel software for airline customers. You will drive technical strategy, ensure quality, and align delivery with business priorities in a global, matrixed environment.

In this role you will manage local and remote engineers, mentor talent, own CI/CD practices, and collaborate with architects to evolve our platform while upholding Amadeus security and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• Experience in technical leadership and management roles.
• Strong technical expertise across the complete SDLC.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to influence strategy and make complex decisions.
• Results-oriented with focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead local and remote team members to deliver projects on time.
• Define team objectives and align with organizational goals.
• Evaluate performance and support salary development.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
• Clarify ambiguous requirements and assess risks for projects.
• Oversee component strategy, guide architecture, ensure code integrity.
• Own CI/CD practices and promote quality across the lifecycle.
• Develop tooling and reusable modules for multiple teams.
• Engage in customer-facing discussions and governance forums.
