Amadeus leads the Loyalty domain by delivering Java-based enterprise solutions at scale for airline customers worldwide. You will guide architecture, design and delivery of critical services, while mentoring teams and ensuring robust, scalable systems.

As Lead Principal Engineer, you will own technical direction, drive quality, adopt modern practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global, fast-paced environment to achieve lasting customer value.

Qualifications

• Experience developing enterprise software applications using Java and Java EE technologies.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring, or Hibernate.
• Experience with Angular is considered an advantage.
• Experience leading technical delivery within Agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience designing and optimizing multithreaded or concurrent applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Java-based applications and services through hands-on solution design, implementation and technical guidance.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality solutions from design and development through testing, maintenance and operational support.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of complex technical challenges, driving root-cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts through proactive system maintenance, technical debt reduction, and resolution of complex application issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Continuously explore and adopt new technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Lead technical discussions and solution clarifications with customers and stakeholders.

About the Ideal Candidate

• Experience developing enterprise software applications using Java and Java Enterprise technologies
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring, or Hibernate is an advantage.
• Experience with Angular is considered an advantage.
• Experience leading technical delivery within Agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban)
• Experience designing and optimizing multithreaded or concurrent applications is a strong advantage.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, engineering principles, and software development best practices, with the ability to guide technical decisions and elevate engineering quality.
