Trends Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Internal System Administrator to oversee the administration, security, and performance of the organization's server operating systems, network services, enterprise applications, and databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS or related field.
• 5–8 years of database administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of database security, performance tuning, and high availability.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Administration.
• Experience with Linux Server Administration.
• Experience with Active Directory Domain Services.
• Experience with SQL Server and Oracle Database Administration.
• Experience with PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server OSes.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and file services.
• Install, configure, patch, harden, and tune OS and services.
• Monitor system health, capacity, availability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot incidents related to OS and services.
• Support internal systems and business applications.
• Maintain SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL databases.
• Perform database monitoring, backups, recovery, and maintenance.
• Implement security best practices to support compliance and audit.

About the role

The Senior Internal System Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, availability, and performance of the organization's server operating systems, network services, enterprise applications, and database platforms. The role ensures the stable, secure, and compliant operation of business-critical systems while supporting operational and service continuity requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows and Linux server operating systems

• Manage Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, DNS, NTP, and File Server services

• Perform operating system installation, configuration, patching, hardening, and performance tuning

• Monitor system health, capacity, availability, and performance

• Troubleshoot and resolve operating system and service-related incidents

• Administer and support internal systems and business applications

• Administer and maintain SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other supported database platforms

• Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and maintenance activities

• Implement server and database security best practices and support compliance, audit, and risk management requirements

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies

About you

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field

• 5-8 years of database administration experience, with senior-level exposure

• Strong knowledge of database security, performance tuning, and high availability
