Job summary

Optum is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to lead the design of scalable training across ITSS, applying learning science and performance-based design. You will mentor junior designers, partner with stakeholders, and drive the modernization of content into blended and digital formats.

Responsibilities include managing end-to-end projects, creating measurable learning experiences, and leveraging AI tools to accelerate content analysis and prototyping while ensuring adherence to quality

Qualifications

• 4+ years of instructional design, learning design, curriculum development, or equivalent L&D experience.
• Experience developing blended learning, eLearning, VILT, ILT, simulations, assessments, and microlearning.
• Experience using LMS platforms, learning analytics, and evaluation methods.
• Solid knowledge of adult learning principles and design methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional design strategy for complex ITSS learning programs using learning science and business outcomes.
• Manage end-to-end learning design projects with SMEs, timelines, and quality standards.
• Design blended learning solutions including eLearning, simulations, and performance support.
• Mentor Content Developers and ensure design quality and standards.
