Job summary

Ascendion is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain Hybrid Active Directory, Entra ID interfaces, and secure DNS/KPI environments in a cloud-first setup.

The role focuses on automating operations with PowerShell and Service-Now, enhancing monitoring, and providing tier-2/3 support while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable IT services.

• Experience designing and maintaining Hybrid Active Directory infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain Hybrid Active Directory infrastructure, including Domain Controllers, Group Policies and Entra ID interfacing services.
• Design and maintain messaging platforms based on Exchange Online and AWS SES
• Design, deploy and maintain DNS infrastructure based on Active Directory and AWS Route 53
• Design, deploy and maintain Enterprise PKI and its security hardening
• Design, deploy and maintain Entra ID and IdP features
• Design, management and hardening of Windows Server products
• Support transition of on-premises infrastructure to AWS cloud services
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools based on PowerShell and Service-Now
• Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency
• Implement automated monitoring to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for infra incidents and requests
• Collaborate with network, security and application teams for seamless integration

Job description

• Design, deploy and maintain Hybrid Active Directory infrastructure, including Domain Controllers, Group Policies and Entra ID interfacing services, as well as its overall security hardening
• Design and maintain messaging platforms based on Exchange Online and AWS SES
• Design, deploy and maintain internal and external DNS infrastructure, based on Active Directory and AWS Route 53 and its overall security hardening
• Design, deploy and maintain Enterprise PKI and its overall security hardening
• Design, deploy and maintain Entra ID and its overall IdP features
• Design, management and hardening of Windows Server product
• Participate and support the transition of existing on-premises infrastructure to AWS cloud services

Automate:

• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline infrastructure management and deployment processes, mainly based based on PowerShell and Service-Now.
• Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Implement automated monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Provide second and third level support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
• Work closely and collaborate with other IT and cross-functional teams, including network, security and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of infrastructure components
