Job summary

Socium - Teams Done Differently is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen and secure our core IT landscape. The role centers on robust Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, and Exchange Online architectures while guiding cloud transitions to AWS.

You will automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell and ServiceNow, monitor environments, and provide 2nd/3rd line support. Strong collaboration with security, network, and app teams is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Hybrid Active Directory infrastructure, including Domain Controllers, Group Policies, and Entra ID interfacing services, as well as its overall security hardening.
• Design and maintain messaging platforms based on Exchange Online and AWS SES.
• Design, deploy, and maintain internal and external DNS infrastructure based on Active Directory and AWS Route 53, including its overall security hardening.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Enterprise PKI and its overall security hardening.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Entra ID and its overall IdP features.
• Design, manage, and harden Windows Server products.
• Participate in and support the transition of existing on-premise infrastructure to AWS cloud services.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline infrastructure management and deployment processes, primarily based on PowerShell and ServiceNow.
• Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Implement automated monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Provide second and third-level support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
• Work closely and collaborate with other IT and cross-functional teams, including network, security, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of infrastructure components.

Job description

As Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will focus on ensuring that the client's core IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and scalable, with a particular emphasis on managing and optimizing Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, DNS, PKI, and Exchange Online.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Hybrid Active Directory infrastructure, including Domain Controllers, Group Policies, and Entra ID interfacing services, as well as its overall security hardening.

What we expect

• Demonstrated experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer, preferably in the financial industry and an international setting (7+ years of experience in a similar role).
• Demonstrated experience in participating in and leading projects focused on subject technologies.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server OS management, deployment, hardening, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of VMware vSphere.
• Solid knowledge of PKI infrastructure, concepts, and deployments.
• Solid knowledge of networking and security concepts.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with ITSM/ITIL.
• Strong skills in personal organization, prioritization, project management, and complex problem-solving.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to present and sell ideas/projects to senior stakeholders.
• Strong critical thinking skills to understand business pain points and propose effective solutions.
• Relevant industry certifications are advantageous (AWS, Terraform, GitLab, etc.).
• Good know-how of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Good know-how of Relational Database Services (SQL).
• Experience working within an Agile framework (Kanban).
• Experience in financial services and/or regulated environments.
• Excellent English (oral and written communication).
