Job summary

Socium - Teams Done Differently is seeking a Governance, Risk and Compliance lead to strengthen governance practices, ensure compliance, resilience, and strong controls across the organization.

You will work with senior stakeholders to develop frameworks, manage policies, and coordinate audits and remediation programs, while partnering with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit, and business teams to address governance matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Legal Management, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in Governance, Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, or Internal Controls.
• Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, risk management, and control environments.
• Experience supporting audits, policy management, governance reviews, or remediation programs.
• Strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Professional certifications (e.g. CIA, CAMS, CPA, CRMP, ISO 31000, Compliance certifications) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
• Coordinate policy reviews, approvals, updates, and documentation management.
• Prepare governance reports, dashboards, meeting materials, and management updates.
• Support governance committees through agenda preparation, action tracking, and follow‑up activities.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit, and business teams to address governance and control‑related matters.
• Assist in risk assessments, internal control reviews, and remediation tracking.
• Coordinate governance‑related requirements for internal and external audits.
• Support governance awareness, ethics, and compliance initiatives across the organization.
