Job summary

RELIANCECARE INC. is seeking an experienced finance leader to own the general ledger, statutory financial statements, and all tax and regulatory reporting across the group. You will oversee a team of about five qualified accountants and coordinate with regulators such as BIR and SEC.

You will report to the Controller / Deputy CFO and drive consolidation, audits, and policy improvements across 8–10 entities, ensuring accuracy and timely filings.

Qualifications

• CPA is mandatory with no substitutions.
• Eight+ years in GL, statutory reporting, and tax compliance.
• Three+ years of people supervision in a multi-entity environment.
• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and intercompany eliminations.
• Deep BIR experience and familiarity with VAT and income tax processes.
• Strong command of PFRS and related regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger across all entities, ensuring clean, current, reconciled data.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close to published timetables.
• Manage reconciliations and balance sheet integrity with no ageing items.
• Maintain COA and enforce consistent application across entities.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and consolidation balance accuracy.
• Apply PFRS to revenue models and escalate judgments when needed.
• Prepare group consolidation packs for Controller review and sign-off.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and notes per applicable standards.
• Act as main liaison to external auditors; manage audit timetable and PBCs.
• Own the compliance calendar; file returns and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Oversee tax audits, LOAs, and assessments through resolution.
• Run reporting across SEC, Insurance Commission and other agencies.
• Document accounting policies and controls; strengthen journal entry controls.
• Oversee ERP usage for GL and reporting; drive automation and data quality.
• Lead and develop a team of about five qualified accountants.
