Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a Senior GL Accountant in Manila (Hybrid) to manage end-to-end GL/R2R processes and drive month-, quarter-, and year-end closings. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and ensure IFRS compliance while supporting audits and regional accounting initiatives.

The role requires 8–10 years in GL/R2R, strong SAP experience, and proven ability to lead process improvements in a multinational Shared Services environment. Hybrid work at One Ayala, Makati.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of General Ledger or Record-to-Report experience.
• Month-end close and financial reporting experience.
• Experience in Shared Services, BPO, or multinational environments.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and internal controls.
• Experience handling multiple entities or regional accounting operations.
• Process improvement, automation, or AI-driven initiatives experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Mentoring or coaching junior colleagues desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end General Ledger and Record-to-Report activities.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate financial discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
• Support statutory and external audit requirements.
• Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to resolve accounting issues.
• Lead process improvement, automation, and standardisation initiatives within the GL function.
