Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment (Philippines) Inc. is recruiting a Senior GL Accountant to manage end-to-end General Ledger and Record-to-Report processes in a global tech setting.

The role includes leading month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations, while ensuring internal controls and IFRS compliance. You will coordinate with regional and global stakeholders, drive process improvements, automation, and standardisation within the GL function, and support audits.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of solid General Ledger or Record-to-Report experience.
• Strong hands-on exposure to month-end close and financial reporting activities.
• Experience working in Shared Services, BPO, or multinational environments.
• Proficiency in SAP is preferred.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Experience handling multiple entities or regional accounting operations.
• Previous involvement in process improvement, transformation, automation, or AI-driven initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior colleagues is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end General Ledger and Record-to-Report activities.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate financial discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
• Support statutory and external audit requirements.
• Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to resolve accounting issues.
• Lead process improvement, automation, and standardisation initiatives within the GL function.
