Job summary

Optum is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer in Metro Manila to design, build, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions for enterprise initiatives. You will develop NLP, RAG, OCR, and ML applications, deploying models across cloud environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 6+ years in AI/ML, 3+ years NLP, and 2+ years RAG, with 3+ years of cloud platform experience (Azure/AWS/GCP). Hybrid work and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of AI/ML engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on NLP experience.
• 2+ years of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• 3+ years deploying and managing ML models on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• 3+ years using cloud-native AI/ML services (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform).

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and deliver scalable AI/ML solutions for enterprise initiatives.
• Build and maintain NLP, RAG, OCR, and ML applications.
• Deploy and manage AI models across cloud environments.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Support, and Business teams on AI-powered solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design reviews and code quality.
• Implement secure, scalable AI systems following best practices.
• Drive modernization through AI automation and advanced analytics.
• Solve complex business/technical challenges using modern AI/ML tech.
• Ensure security, governance, and operational compliance throughout lifecycle.
• Participate in architecture planning, implementation, monitoring, optimization.
