Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own end-to-end delivery on the Cloud Clients surfaces, including dbt Studio in-browser, VS Code extension, and CLI runtime. You will build an AI-native developer experience with Python, TypeScript, React, and Kubernetes across the stack, driving features from design through pixel-perfect implementation.

You will work in a fully-remote, distributed team, shipping in two-week sprints, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with product and design

Qualifications

5+ years building production software at scale.
Deep Python experience with exposure to TypeScript/React.
Built or maintained developer-facing tools (IDE/editor extension/CLI/SDK/LSP).
Comfort with APIs, Kubernetes, Postgres, and observability.
Strong written communication and ability to work asynchronously in a distributed team.

Responsibilities

Own CLI workspace runtime components and migrate users off legacy IDE.
Design and build agent-facing experiences: streaming responses, tool calls, diff reviews.
Extend dbt surfaces with MCP integrations for AI clients like Claude/Codex.
Lead end-to-end projects: plan, collaborate with design/product, ship in 2-week iterations.
Provide on-call support and mentor junior engineers.
