Job summary

Duetto is seeking a senior full‑stack engineer to own end‑to‑end feature delivery across Java/Spring Boot microservices and TypeScript/React frontends, including monitoring in production.

You will migrate a monolith to microservices using DDD and event‑driven patterns, champion AI‑assisted development, and drive quality with automated end‑to‑end tests in Cypress or Playwright. This is a fully remote role from Split, Croatia, with global collaboration and a strong ownership culture.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of full‑stack engineering experience with production depth across backend and frontend.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for enterprise backend development.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React for modern web applications.
• Experience building and maintaining GraphQL APIs.
• Solid working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
• Hands‑on experience with end‑to‑end testing frameworks — Cypress or Playwright.
• A working understanding of microservices architecture and event‑driven integration patterns.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude Code CLI or a comparable AI code generation tool — generate‑and‑review workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own full‑stack feature delivery end‑to‑end — from requirements through production — across Java/Spring Boot microservices and TypeScript/React frontends.
• Make independent architectural decisions and convert prototypes into scalable production systems with cross‑team collaboration.
• Drive migration of legacy monoliths using Domain‑Driven Design and event‑driven patterns.
• Champion test quality with automated end‑to‑end tests in Cypress or Playwright.
• Mentor peers on prompt engineering and AI‑assisted development in a generate‑and‑review model.
• Contribute to AI‑augmented workflows by building and refining custom skills and agents.
