Job summary

IDR in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to build and improve production web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and SQL. You will work across frontend, backend, and database layers, driving pragmatic architecture decisions and maintainable code in a production environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, design discussions, and strong testing practices, with onsite/hybrid work arrangements and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience after college.
• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js and PostgreSQL or another relational DB.
• Experience designing relational schemas and writing performant queries.
• Experience building and consuming APIs.
• Strong testing practices: unit and integration testing.
• Excellent communication to explain technical tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Design and implement backend logic, APIs, database schemas, and business workflows. Write efficient SQL queries and work directly with PostgreSQL.
• Create clean, reusable frontend components; participate in technical design discussions; write automated tests and follow TDD or test-first development practices where appropriate.
• Debug production issues across frontend, backend, and database layers; review code and help improve engineering quality standards; collaborate with product, operations, and business stakeholders.
