Job summary

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) seeks a senior leader to drive fraud prevention and detection across cards, digital banking, and emerging channels. You will lead risk analytics, model optimization, and policy development to proactively identify and mitigate fraud while balancing customer experience and costs.

You will oversee a team, manage enterprise fraud systems, and collaborate with senior management to communicate risk trends and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Has 10-15 years progressive experience in fraud risk management, financial crime, risk analytics, or fraud operations.
• Hands-on fraud analytics experience analyzing large-scale transactional and customer data.
• Experience in developing and managing fraud detection models.
• Experience in managing Enterprise Fraud Management Systems (EFMS).

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, management, enhancement, and optimization of fraud prevention and detection strategies across cards, digital banking, and emerging payment channels.
• Oversee a team of credit and debit cards fraud risk professionals to achieve high detection rates and controlled false positives.
• Optimize fraud risk-reward tradeoffs by reducing losses while minimizing customer friction and costs.
• Regularly review rules, thresholds, and risk parameters to improve detection and authorization performance.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses of fraud cases and loss drivers to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure fraud models, scorecards, and analytic frameworks remain current; evaluate AI/ML adoption for detection and decision-making.
• Apprise senior management on fraud risk exposures, trends, and mitigation opportunities.
