Job summary

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is seeking a Digital Platform Fraud Management Officer to oversee the unit’s performance, supervise 24/7 operations, and ensure timely investigations of fraud-related transactions across BPI platforms.

You will lead risk assessments, implement fraud controls, and collaborate with branches and external partners to mitigate emerging risks while driving process improvements and maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any business-related course
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fraud investigation within a financial institution
• Experience with database applications and macro programming
• Familiarity with banking policies, rules, and budget control methods
• Ability to challenge existing processes and drive improvements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• High integrity, flexibility to address immediate needs, and ability to work harmoniously within a team
• Willingness to work on a shifting schedule and report onsite daily

Responsibilities

• Oversees unit performance and manages 24/7 manpower operations supporting fraud endorsements (AFASA), multi-level transaction layering, and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
• Conducts timely and impartial investigations of digital platform fraud cases, ensuring resolutions within agreed Turn-Around Times (TAT)
• Handles complex fraud cases escalated by branches, senior management, government agencies, and internal partners such as the Contact Center
• Collaborates with internal business units and external banks or merchants to mitigate emerging risks and support business objectives
• Reviews unit processes continuously to identify gaps, streamline operations, and reduce costs while maintaining customer-centric service
• Implements risk assessments, maintains fraud control policies, and manages disaster recovery testing to ensure business continuity
• Leads and develops direct reports by implementing rewards, recognition, and training programs to foster an inclusive, high-performing culture
