Job summary

Bicara Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director of FP&A for Development to provide critical financial support to R&D and global manufacturing/CMC/supply chain operations from new study planning through product development phase, product launch and ongoing lifecycle management activities.

This role will also be responsible for financial consolidation and report generation inclusive of both internal and external spend.

Qualifications

• BS in Finance/Accounting or equivalent degree required.
• 6+ years of relevant experience with at least 2+ years as a finance business partner.
• Prior biotech/life sciences experience with product development familiarity.
• Strong knowledge of clinical (CRO) and external manufacturing/CMC/supply chain.
• Proven financial modeling and reporting capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and translate complex topics for management.
• Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Planning) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with functional leaders to manage budgeting, long-range planning and forecasts.
• Provide analytics and reporting to drive budget accuracy and identify variances.
• Build and monitor KPIs to predict outcomes and unlock investment opportunities.
• Ensure alignment between planning assumptions and financial projections.
• Translate clinical/manufacturing concepts and financial impact for senior management.
• Monitor vendor site results and support cost-control initiatives.
• Manage financial lifecycle of clinical trials, including forecasting and site-level cost analysis.
• Enable portfolio management through scenario planning and vendor contract evaluation.
• Support enterprise-wide manufacturing and supply chain decision-making and COGs.
• Assist with commercial launch planning and lifecycle management.
