Exponent simplifies energy for EVs and invites builders to join the product and engineering team working on the e^pump (charging station) and e^pack (battery pack) stack. You will contribute to the safe, modular firmware that enables thousands of vehicles to charge rapidly within 15 minutes.

Qualifications

Hands-on production-level firmware delivery for high-volume embedded devices.
Solid design and development in embedded C/C++ with RTOS/Linux and scripting (Python/Shell).
Experience with ARM/DSP MCUs, USB/CAN/SPI/UART interfaces, and safety standards MISRA C / ISO26262.

Responsibilities

Define FW architecture: select HW, HAL layers, enable OTA/UDS, and define FW blocks.
Develop algorithms: state machines and data processing for critical parameters like Sox.
Take code to production: design, development, validation and deployment; create SOPs and service manuals.
Ensure safety and reliability: FMEA, code reviews, and risk assessments for firmware.
