Job summary

Auxis seeks a Senior Financial Analyst in Mexico to lead cost accounting, manufacturing finance, and financial analysis. You will partner with operations and finance teams to support cost management, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.

The role requires hands-on standard costing, manufacturing variances, inventory accounting, and month-end close experience, ideally in a public company environment. CPA/CMA preferred; SEC reporting familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4-7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting or financial analysis.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting and manufacturing finance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with financial modeling and large data sets.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Public company experience or familiarity with SEC reporting and 10-K/10-Q reporting cycles preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required; CMA particularly relevant for this position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costing models across product lines and analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead).
• Partner with operations to monitor and improve COGS, yield, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Manage inventory accounting across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Develop and maintain overhead allocation methodologies across facilities.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with schedules supporting 10-K and 10-Q filings.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support auditors during reviews.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes.
• Build and maintain financial models supporting pricing decisions, capex, and trade-offs.
• Prepare management reporting packages, analyses, and KPI dashboards for leadership.
• Support due diligence for acquisitions and integration financial modeling.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Accounting & Operations Finance

• Maintain and update standard costing models across product lines and analyze manufacturing variances, including material, labor, and overhead.
• Partner with operations teams to monitor and improve COGS, yield, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Manage inventory accounting and reconciliations across raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods.
• Develop and maintain overhead allocation methodologies across facilities.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Assist with financial schedules supporting 10-K and 10-Q filings.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support external auditors during review and audit cycles.

FP&A & Business Support

• Contribute to annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes.
• Build and maintain financial models supporting pricing decisions, capital expenditures, and operational trade-offs.
• Prepare management reporting packages, financial analyses, and KPI dashboards for leadership.

M&A & Special Projects

• Support financial due diligence for potential acquisitions as needed.
• Assist with integration financial modeling and purchase accounting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting and/or financial analysis.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing finance.
• Experience supporting financial close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with financial modeling and large data sets.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Public company experience or familiarity with SEC reporting and 10-K/10-Q reporting cycles is strongly preferred.
