Qualifications

  • Proven track record in project management, specifically leading financial system migrations or process improvement initiatives.

Job description

A global manufacturing firm seeks a strategic Senior Cost Accountant to support effective decision-making and cost control in its plant operations. This role focuses on identifying cost drivers, monitoring variances, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, managing system migrations, and leading team members to ensure accurate cost allocation across products, services, and departments.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive analysis and reporting of manufacturing costs to identify variances, cost drivers, and operational trends.
  • Lead and oversee production-related budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure alignment with corporate financial plans.
  • Drive project management initiatives, including financial system migrations, process automation, and cost accounting framework enhancements.
  • Direct and supervise cost accounting personnel, providing guidance, task delegation, and performance management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and procurement to implement cost-saving initiatives and cost-benefit evaluations for capital investments.
  • Analyze inventory valuation and usage, oversee physical inventory counts, and reconcile capital assets and depreciation.
  • Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements for all cost accounting activities.
  • Utilize enterprise ERP systems to manage complex cost data, develop financial models, and present executive-level reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; must be a licensed CPA or certified CMA.
  • 5 to 8 years of robust experience in cost accounting or financial analysis within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven track record in project management, specifically leading financial system migrations or process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in manufacturing ERP systems, financial modeling, inventory controls, and variance analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Work Setup: On-site

Schedule: Day Shift, Monday to Friday

Location: Norzagaray, Bulacan or Bacnotan, La Union
