Responsibilities
Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Maintain and update cost accounting systems, including standard costs and cost allocation methods.
Conduct monthly and quarterly closing activities related to cost accounting.
Perform variance analysis on materials, labor, and overhead, and investigate root causes.
Collaborate with production, procurement, and inventory teams to validate bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and cost drivers.
Support inventory valuation and provide insights during physical inventory counts.
Develop and implement cost control processes and tools.
Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
Provide cost data and analysis for pricing decisions and profitability studies.
