Job summary

Leighton Asia in Makati City, Philippines is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual reports and to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis. You will oversee general accounting activities and ensure accurate cost management for labor and overhead.

The role supports project and tender financials, tax matters, regulatory compliance, and acts as a trusted partner to non‑finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• CPA or CIMA certification preferred.
• At least 5 years’ experience in accounting or commercial finance.
• Experience in construction, engineering, or property industry is an advantage.
• Proven experience working with non‑finance stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills, including strong experience in Power Query and data transformation.
• Experience using ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual financial reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis, including commentary for management.
• Manage general accounting activities, including accruals, reclassifications, and ledger accuracy.
• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Ensure accurate cost management for labor, overhead, and project‑related costs.
• Support project and tender financials, including cost recovery, JV arrangements, and cash flow optimization.
• Work closely with project controls and operational teams on financial setup and ongoing management.
• Provide support on tax‑related matters and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to non‑finance stakeholders.
