Job summary

Filcon Ventures Inc in Makati City, Metro Manila, is seeking a Senior Finance Associate to join our finance team in a full-time role dedicated to financial accounting, reporting and analysis.

You will manage General Ledger, support month-end close, prepare management reports and assist with audits while ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS. This role requires strong Excel skills, detail orientation and teamwork within a dynamic corporate environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Associate to join Filcon Ventures Inc in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our financial accounting and reporting function. As a Senior Finance Associate, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and accounting services that support the strategic decision-making of our organisation. This role is integral to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records whilst ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and reconcile financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Manage the general ledger and maintain detailed financial records for multiple business units or cost centres
• Conduct account reconciliations and investigate variances to support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Perform analytical procedures and variance analysis to identify trends and anomalies in financial data
• Support the preparation of management accounts, budgetary reports and financial forecasts
• Assist with the coordination of external audits and provide supporting documentation as required
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain documentation and working papers in accordance with company policies and audit requirements
• Support the implementation and improvement of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Liaise with operational teams to resolve accounting queries and gather necessary financial information

What we're looking for

• A professional qualification in Accounting or Finance (such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) or significant progress towards such a qualification
• 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting and reporting within a corporate environment
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial systems, with demonstrated experience in Excel and data analysis
• Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Solid understanding of financial controls, reconciliation processes and audit procedures
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and communicate financial issues clearly
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
• Proficient in preparing and presenting financial information to senior management and stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and financial reporting requirements is an advantage
