Job summary

ProCredit Financing Corp is seeking a Junior Accounting Associate to support day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate processing of transactions and compliant records. This role maintains organized financial data in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, tax compliance, and audit preparation while coordinating with internal teams and external partners to sustain financial accuracy, efficiency, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and detail-oriented problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare invoices, receipts, and reconcile accounts.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist tax compliance including DST, withholding tax, and income tax returns.
  • Support audits and ensure SEC, BIR, DOLE compliance.
  • Assist in accounts payable/receivable and vendor payments.
  • Coordinate with risk, credit, and operations for data requirements.
  • Enter data into financial systems and maintain trial balance.
  • Provide general finance support and process improvements.

The Role

The Junior Accounting Associate provides day-to-day support to the finance function by ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions, proper documentation, and timely reporting. The role assists in accounting entries, reconciliations, tax compliance, and audit preparation, while maintaining organized financial records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. This position works closely with internal teams and external partners to support overall financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Transactions & Records Management
  • Process journal and accounting entry transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare, verify, and reconcile invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
  • Maintain and update financial records within the accounting system
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions in real time
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and schedules
  • Provide accurate data and documentation for management reporting
  • Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Monitor and record company expenses, ensuring alignment with approved budgets
  • Assist in identifying discrepancies and escalating issues when necessary
4. Tax Compliance & Documentation
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax requirements, including DST, withholding tax, percentage tax, and income tax returns
  • Ensure completeness and proper organization of tax-related documents
  • Support the finance team in maintaining readiness for potential BIR audits
5. Audit & Regulatory Compliance
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports
  • Maintain organized records for compliance with SEC, BIR, and DOLE requirements
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory standards
6. Accounts Payable & Receivable Support
  • Monitor invoices and assist in ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers
  • Assist in preparing billing statements and tracking outstanding receivables
  • Support collection follow-ups and maintain updated aging reports
7. Coordination & Communication
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Risk, Credit, Operations) for financial data requirements
  • Liaise with external partners, including auditors and accounting consultants, as needed
  • Ensure timely communication of finance-related concerns and updates
8. Financial Data Entry & System Support
  • Encode accounting entries and assist in the preparation of the monthly trial balance
  • Assist in service invoice preparation, tracking, and reconciliation
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entered into financial systems
9. General Support
  • Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or SupervisorSupport process improvements and adherence to finance protocols and timelines
Key Qualifications / Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong working knowledge of Philippine tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong willingness to learn, can‑do attitude.
