Job summary

JP Morgan Chase is seeking a Fee Operations Senior Associate to lead the fee billing lifecycle, ensuring accurate invoicing, complete cash application, and timely data inputs for monthly and quarterly cycles. You will manage a team, align with calendars, and uphold strong controls.

You will partner across functions to resolve issues, drive process improvements, and reduce operational risk while maintaining audit-ready documentation and clear escalation when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience (formal or informal).
• Experience supporting invoice production and billing operations in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong analytical skills with root-cause analysis and resolution capabilities.
• Strong risk and control mindset with attention to documentation.
• Proficient written and verbal communication with clear escalation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day invoicing team operations, including work allocation and capacity planning against billing calendars.
• Produce accurate invoices across multiple fee types with visibility into status and risks.
• Review outputs, uphold documentation standards, and remediate client-impacting issues.
• Drive continuous improvement by simplifying processes and strengthening controls.
• Oversee daily fee collection accounts from receipt to posting and reconciliation.
• Apply client payments to open invoices and maintain audit-ready evidence.
• Manage client prepayments with correct attribution and timing.
• Execute controlled invoice revisions and record cash and receivable impacts.
• Reconcile fee collection accounts, resolve breaks, and escalate as needed.
• Maintain and enhance the risk and control framework and recurring control execution.
• Coordinate monthly data procurement for billing inputs and validate data quality.
