Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. seeks an Engineering Officer to oversee maintenance, operation, and safety of building facilities. Reports to Operations Lead, ensuring compliance with safety codes and efficient performance.

Candidate should have a licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer credential and 3+ years of relevant experience, with hands-on expertise in HVAC, GenSets, boilers, and building systems. Strong ownership and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

RME or REE license is required.
Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience in property or facilities management is preferred.
Hands-on experience with operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting of building facilities and MEPF systems.
Experience with HVAC systems (Chillers, HVAC), cooling towers, GenSets; boilers and electrical/mechanical systems.
Experience with commercial/office malls, hotels, corporate towers properties preferred.
Strong ownership, leadership presence, and ability to resolve facility-related issues.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, GenSets).
Supervise third-party contractors and service providers for repairs and maintenance.
Ensure operations comply with local safety codes (OSH, fire safety).
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to reduce downtime.
Assist in budgeting for repairs, spare parts procurement, and budget planning.
Respond to emergencies to minimize downtime.
