Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. is seeking a Registered Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (RME/REE) with at least 3 years of relevant experience to join our building engineering team. The role focuses on operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of large-scale facilities across commercial properties.

Candidate will monitor systems, coordinate with contractors, review drawings, ensure safety and quality, and support budgeting and scheduling for projects and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Licensed engineer with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience as Senior Building Engineer, Facilities Engineer, or similar roles in commercial/property management.
• Hands-on experience with building facilities and MEPF systems (chillers, HVAC, boilers, gensets).

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily engineering operations and report on system performance and issues.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance planning for equipment and infrastructure.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams on engineering activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Assist in project scheduling, budgeting, progress tracking, and status reporting.
• Participate in inspections, audits, and risk assessments for engineering assets.
• Investigate technical problems and recommend practical corrective actions.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and engineering changes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
