Job summary

Al Abbar Group seeks a senior Facade Design Lead to guide the entire façade design workflow from concept to installation. You will oversee a design team across multiple locations, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery aligned with architectural intent and project constraints.

You will define strategies, review drawings, and coordinate with international stakeholders to meet performance requirements on landmark projects. Strong leadership and deep facade engineering expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of facade industry experience including significant experience on large-scale and landmark projects.
• Experience managing design teams on high-rise, mixed-use, hospitality, commercial, airport, cultural, or mega-development projects.

About you

• Proven experience managing design teams on high-rise, mixed-use, hospitality, commercial, airport, cultural, or mega-development projects
• Strong expertise in unitized curtain wall, stick systems, skylight, steel-glass structures, bespoke facades and specialty building envelope systems
• Strong understanding of facade engineering principles, design standards, and performance requirements
• Experience coordinating with international consultants, architects, contractors and suppliers
• Advanced knowledge of facade design and engineering principles
• Strong understanding of structural calculations and systems performance requirements
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D design and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership and team management capabilities
