Job summary

Cloudstaff Philippines Inc. seeks a Senior Estimator to lead cost estimation for major projects. You will guide the estimation process from start to finish, mentor junior estimators, and ensure bids are competitive and well-informed.

You will analyze drawings and specs, coordinate with clients, PMs, contractors and suppliers, and manage quantity take-offs with precision. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 8-10 years of substantial experience in cost estimation for large-scale construction/engineering projects.
• Master’s degree or advanced certification in cost estimation or project management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage preparation of comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment.
• Analyse technical drawings, specs, and project requirements to determine cost implications.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, contractors, and suppliers to reflect market conditions.
• Oversee quantity take-offs and maintain records of estimates and historical data.
• Mentor junior estimators and ensure bids are competitive and informed.

Key Skills

• Lead and manage the preparation of comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment, ensuring alignment with project goals and financial constraints


• Conduct detailed analysis of technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ascertain accurate cost implications


• Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure cost estimates reflect current market conditions and best practices


• Oversee and perform meticulous quantity take-offs, providing high-quality calculations that inform key project decisions


• Maintain and manage records of estimates, historical data, and industry trends to support future project planning and strategic decision-making

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience

• 8-10 years of substantial experience in cost estimation, with a proven track record of success in large-scale construction, engineering, or related projects


• Extensive experience liaising with stakeholders and managing complex estimation projects

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field


• Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or advanced certification in cost estimation or project management

Software

• Mastery of estimation software, including Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and CostX


• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD or other relevant design software
