Job summary

ABS FACADE INT. OPC in Iloilo City, Iloilo, Philippines is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our estimating team on a full-time basis. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for construction and façade projects, analyze drawings, and lead junior staff.

You will collaborate with project teams, maintain cost databases, and ensure competitive pricing while monitoring market trends. Experience in large-scale projects and proficiency with estimating software are required.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of professional estimating experience in construction, façade or architectural works preferred.
• 2-3 years in a senior or lead estimating role preferred.
• Proven track record of accurate estimates for large-scale projects.
• Experience with estimating software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction and façade projects of varying complexity.
• Analyse specifications, blueprints, and drawings to determine material and labour requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis to establish pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to clarify scope.
• Develop and maintain estimating databases and pricing benchmarks.
• Review estimates for completeness and accuracy; ensure compliance with standards.
• Mentor and supervise junior estimating staff; provide QA.

About the role

ABS FACADE INT. OPC is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Iloilo City, Iloilo, where you will play a crucial strategic role in our estimating department. As Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, managing project pricing strategies, and ensuring accuracy across all estimating functions. Your expertise will directly impact our client's project profitability, competitive positioning, and operational success within the construction and façade industry.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for construction and façade projects of varying complexity
• Analyse project specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine material and labour requirements
• Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and perform cost analysis to establish competitive pricing
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to gather project information and clarify scope requirements
• Develop and maintain estimating databases, historical cost records, and pricing benchmarks
• Review and validate estimates for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company standards
• Mentor and supervise junior estimating staff, providing guidance and quality assurance
• Monitor market trends, supplier pricing, and material costs to ensure estimates remain competitive and current
• Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation for client presentation
• Conduct post-project analysis to compare actual costs against estimates and identify variances

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-10 years of professional estimating experience within the construction industry, with a focus on façade or architectural works preferred
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a senior or lead estimating role preferred.
• Proven track record of preparing accurate estimates for large-scale and complex construction projects
• Strong proficiency with estimating software and construction management tools such as Bluebeam, Planswift or similar platforms
• Advanced knowledge of building materials, construction methodologies, and industry standards
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and architectural plans
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor and manage junior estimating staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments
• Knowledge of safety standards, building codes, and regulatory compliance within construction
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in Australian, UK, or international construction projects is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Estimating, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field is preferred
