Job summary

Emerson Japan, Ltd. is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join a collaborative Agile Scrum team in Metro Manila.

You will validate features, enhancements, and releases, and contribute to QA, security testing, and continuous improvement to deliver reliable software solutions for Emerson’s global platforms. The role emphasizes hands-on testing across functional, integration, regression, and security domains, with a focus on defect investigation, test case design, and timely deployment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of software testing experience.
• Strong analytical and root-cause investigation skills.
• Experience with Windows OS, networking concepts, and deployment activities.
• Familiarity with lifecycle management tools like Azure DevOps, Teams, SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, standups, reviews and planning events.
• Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria with developers, architects and product owners.
• Validate features, defect fixes, and release candidates for downstream testing and deployment.
• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for functional, integration, regression, exploratory, compatibility, and security testing.
• Investigate, document, and verify software issues with development teams to enable timely resolution.
• Develop and execute security-focused test scenarios supporting secure software development.
• Configure, maintain, and support validation environments and deployment environments.
• Leverage testing technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality and delivery.
• Support a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive project culture.
