Job summary

Emerson Electric Asia Limited - ROHQ is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join a global, collaborative Agile team. You will perform hands-on testing, automation, and continuous improvement to deliver reliable software experiences.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to advocate quality, understand customer workflows, and apply risk-based testing across UI, APIs, and data. Experience with Playwright/Cypress/Selenium and languages like C#/JavaScript is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/SE or related field.
• 4+ years’ experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing of web-based or enterprise software.
• Knowledge of testing principles, exploratory testing, defect management, and risk-based testing approaches.
• Experience designing/executing tests across UI, APIs, integrations, backend services, and data workflows.
• Experience developing/maintaining automated tests with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java).
• Experience using relational databases and SQL for test data management, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle and support informed release decisions.
• Understand software platform and workflows to ensure effective test coverage.
• Translate requirements into comprehensive test strategies for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Execute various testing activities and communicate results clearly.
• Investigate defects and drive resolution with stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests to improve efficiency and release confidence.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and SMEs to improve requirements and testability.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools to support test design, automation, and data creation while validating outputs.
