Job summary

Verkada is seeking a seasoned Systems level Linux engineer to help build our next generation of a cloud-native, AI-searchable node. You will manage dozens of concurrent video streams, translate camera protocols, and feed models at the edge.

This onsite role in the Philippines offers growth with a scale-up environment and multi-cloud integration. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in Linux system programming, strong embedded background, and excellent OS knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science (or similar degree).
• 5+ years of experience of software development for Linux in System Programming Languages (C, C++, Rust, Go, etc).
• Experience in embedded development or experience with low-level system software development.
• Good knowledge with operating systems and computer architecture.
• Good communication & documentation skills.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Reading kernel oops/panic traces
• Debugging GPU driver issues
• Working with boot/security subsystems like secure boot and luks disk encryption
• Networking internals (routing, firewalling, link-layer issues)
• RAID array management (mdadm, disk failure/rebuild scenarios)
